Cupboard Cocktails

Lord behold, we can go shopping again. Does that mean I’m gonna go shopping? Show my face in public? SOCIALIZE WITH PEOPLE IN PERSON? No, no it doesn’t.

So here I am, staring at my cupboard trying to think of a quick dessert that doesn’t involve oats.
A quick scan of my pantry and I soon realized there is sweet fuck all; besides a box of rolled oats. Fuck.

While thinking of new ways to spice up the oats I pulled the peanut butter and the caramel sauce that has been in my cupboard for god knows how long out to breathe.
Upon assessing these basic yet delicious ingredients my eyes noticed the bottle of chocolate liqueur sitting at the back of my liquor shelf…
Eu fucking reka. Snickers cocktails anyone?

Before we dive into this though I wanna flag a few things first. First of all this is a cupboard cocktail this whole thing is open to substitutes, IE. Don’t have chocolate liqueur? Swap it out for an extra 20ml of vodka and an extra 40ml milk(or cream) and add some chocolate powder to the milk for the chocolatey taste! Snickers is after all the holy trinity of Peanuts, Caramel, and Chocolate.
As long as you have those three things and something alcoholic, you will be fine.

Now let’s gather all the essentials.

You’re gonna need the following items and ingredients.

  • Blender, any brand is fine!
  • Your fav drinking glass, I like a classic stemless wine glass. They hold so much.
  • Cup of ice
  • Two tablespoons peanut butter
  • One tablespoon caramel sauce(plus extra for drizzle)
  • 80ml-100ml chocolate Liqueur(add for flavour)
  • 40ml vodka
  • 60ml milk(or thick cream)

This is where shit gets real hard.
You’re gonna take all those ingredients, and you’re gonna wanna dump it like your crazy arse ex right into the blender.
It doesn’t matter what type of blender you are using. I’m personally using my George Foreman health kick bullet blender, there is no limit to my shamelessness.

You wanna blend all the ingredients until nice and slush like. If for some reason it’s not looking right, add a little more Chocolate Liqueur or try a splash of milk. Whatever suits you best.

Now, remember that extra caramel sauce I mentioned?
You’re gonna wanna drizzle the inside of the glass with the sauce;

You’re Da Vinci and this is you’re Mona Lisa.

Once your mixture is all blended and ready you will need to pour the content of the blender into the glass. You can decorate the drink even more with some ice cream or some whip cream.. or both, it’s up to you.
Thanks for reading and I hope that you two can get nicely drunk while having dessert all at the same time as I often do, way too frequently.

Bye-bye now.
